Owner, Dermatologist of Dermhaus Charleston

I grew up in Virginia playing competitive tennis, which shaped much of how I approach life & with discipline, resilience, and a deep respect for showing up consistently. Before medical school, I worked a variety of jobs & was a chief scribe in a busy emergency department, in a movie theatre, a gelato bar, and at a winery in Napa — experiences that taught me how to connect with people from all walks of life.

I completed medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina. I stayed an additional year to earn a Master’s in Clinical Research before continuing in dermatology residency, where I now serve as chief resident. I fell in love with dermatology because it is both visual and procedural & you can see what is happening on the skin in real time, diagnose it, and often treat it directly. There is something meaningful about being able to remove a skin cancer or help someone feel comfortable in their own skin.

My husband is from Pawleys Island, and we’ve built a life here in the Lowcountry with our golden retriever, Kennedy. I originally imagined a career in academic medicine, but over time, I realized I wanted to practice differently. Medicine has become increasingly fast and transactional, and I know what it feels like to sit on the other side of the exam room. I wanted to create a space where patients feel heard, supported, and cared for with intention.

Dermhaus was born from that vision & a practice built on thoughtful medicine, meaningful relationships, and care that feels personal again. I’m deeply grateful to serve this community and look forward to welcoming you.
